Our Fees

We are a private billing practice (not bulk billing).

This means that you will need to pay for your appointment on the day, and we will attempt to lodge your Medicare rebate (refund) for you. Most patients receive this within 12 to 24 hours of their appointment.

Our fees are both time and content based and at the discretion of the doctor, however, our most common appointments and the associated fees are shown below:

Discounted rates are available to holders of Pensioner Concession Cards and Health Care Cards.

Script Requests

Our doctors prefer to do scripts during appointments in the first instance. However, we understand that sometimes special circumstances arise.

BEFORE requesting a script, please read the following:

1. A $20 fee may apply.
2. If you need more than 4 scripts please book an appointment.
3. The doctor may request an appointment with you to write the script/s.
4. We cannot guarantee that a script will be ready the same day that you request it - please allow at least 2-3 business days.

New Patients

Our doctors currently have availability to take on new patients. Please call to book an appointment and let reception know that you are a new patient.

Please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment to complete our New Patient Form.

Pathology/Blood Collection – Australian Clinical Labs

All pathology companies take any/all pathology forms (e.g. Australian Clinical Labs do tests written on Clinipath Pathology forms)

Their opening hours are:

  • Monday to Friday: 8am until 3pm (lunch break from 12:00-12:30)
  • Saturdays: 8am until 11am

Transferring Your Medical Records INTO Coastal General Practice

If you wish to transfer your medical records to our doctors at Coastal General Practice you will need to complete and sign a ‘Release/Transfer of Medical Records’ consent form.
You can obtain this form from our reception staff. Alternatively, you can download it HERE complete it and then email it back to reception via admin@coastalgp.com.au.

Please note that a separate form is required for any patient over the age of 14 years and that many practices charge an administration fee to prepare and transfer your file.

Transferring Your Medical Records OUT of Coastal General Practice

If you wish to transfer your medical records out of Coastal General Practice to a different GP clinic, please contact your new GP clinic and ask for a transfer form.

Please note that a separate form is required for any patient over the age of 14 years and that we charge a minimum $20 fee for the preparation and transfer of medical files. This accounts for the administration time required to complete this for you.
